This June as we celebrate National Indigenous History Month we invite you to enjoy and experience the beautiful voice of Trudy Jones of Batchewana First Nation as she sings the Eagle Song. Songs and singing are an integral part of the Ojibway life and culture of the people of Bawating. The songs and words are of great significance and have been passed from generation to generation many times in the history of Turtle Island. Their purpose and significance is multi-faceted as they are messengers of spiritually, culture, knowledge, history and teaching. As each new generation learns traditional songs it celebrates the beauty and vitality of the Anishinaabemowin language. Click on the link below to enjoy this beautiful song!
