Kids Programming

Below is a list of Early Literacy Programs the Library regularly runs throughout the year on a rotational schedule for kids ages 0 to 4 years old. We also offer a variety of other programs throughout the year for kids of all ages. Check our newsletter or programming brochure below for schedule and registration dates.

Winter 2019 Kids Programs


Designed for the youngest library users and their parents or caregivers, Babytime is a great way to introduce young kids to the library, to begin a love of books and to help kids develop into lifelong learners.

Ages: 0-12 months
Program Length: 6 weeks
Session Length: 1/2 hour each week

Baby Picasso

A 4-session program that introduces young kids, 6-12 months old to experiences that integrate music, art, literacy, and sensory stimulation.

Ages: 6-12 months
Program Length: 4 weeks
Session Length: 1 hour each week

Toddler Time

Get up and get moving at the library with stories, songs and fun that encourage your toddler's development and skills! This program will engage toddlers and teach caregivers how to encourage and support learning through play and fun.

Ages: 13-29 months
Program Length: 6 weeks
Session Length: 45 minute each week

Preschool Storytime

Kids will explore stories and learning activities that encourage them along a life-long path of reading and learning. All kids will have opportunities to engage in activities that focus on pre-reading, numeracy and socialization. Come join us and get ready to read!

Ages: 30-48 months
Program Length: 8 weeks
Session Length: 1 hour each week

Get Set For School

During this 6-week program, kids will engage in learning opportunities that will build on their prior knowledge and diversity. Families will also discover new information and activities to support their child’s journey into school.  

Ages: 3 ½ - 4 years
Program Length: 6 weeks
Session Length: 1.5 hours each week
