Centennial Library Washrooms Now Available for Use
Posted: Apr 09, 2018

We are happy to announce that after weeks of construction, renovations of the public washrooms at the Centennial Public Library have been completed and the washrooms are now available for public use. The renovations started at the beginning of February and were completed at the end of March and have resulted in substantial improvements. The washrooms have new fixtures, additional energy efficient lighting, high efficiency toilets, and new partitions. Additionally, both washrooms have been designed and renovated for improved accessibility.

The washroom renovations are the second major capital project that has been done at the Centennial Library in the past year and a half. In January 2017, all of the carpeting on the upper level of the Centennial Library was removed and replaced with new carpeting. This brought a much needed update to the Centennial Library helping to provide a more welcoming space for the community.

Both of these renovations were supported by the Government of Canada though the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure program. The program provided the additional funds that allowed the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library to conduct both renovation projects.
