Find Your Path to Publication

On May 8th, 2024, join Judy Penz Sheluk at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library to explore book publishing. The road to getting published is paved with good intentions… and horror stories of authors who have had to learn the hard way. Finding Your Path to Publication explores the ins and outs of five paths to publication: Traditional (Big 5), Independent Publishers (micro, small, medium, large), Hybrid/Assisted, Self-publishing, and Social Publishing (Wattpat, Inkitt, Blogs, etc.). Whether you’re an aspiring author, a published author considering alternative options, or merely curious, you’ll learn tips on getting ready, understanding royalties and contracts, advertising and promotion, and more. Copies of Judy Penz Sheluk’s books will be available for purchase and signing. This workshop runs Wednesday May 8th, 2024, from 6:30-8:30 at the Sault Ste. Marie James L. McIntyre Centennial Library, 50 East Street. This is a free event, although space is limited and registration is appreciated.
