Library cards for children and adult programs

The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is introducing a new requirement for registration in select children’s and adult programs. A valid library card will be required to register for the following registered programs:

Children’s Programs

  • Baby Time
  • Baby Picasso
  • Toddler Time
  • Preschool Storytime
  • Dove Real Beauty

For these programs, either the child or their responsible adult must have an active Sault Ste. Marie Public Library card to register.

Adult Programs

  • Crafternoon

For adult programs, participants must have their own valid library card to complete registration.

We’re proud to offer a wide variety of programs for all ages. By requiring a library card for registration, we’re encouraging community members to take full advantage of the many free resources and services available through the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library.

Don’t have a library card yet? No problem! Visit any Sault Ste. Marie Public Library location with photo ID and proof of address to get a card in person. Prefer to register online? You can sign up here: https://ssmpl.ca/using-ssmpl/get-a-library-card/ Please allow up to 5 business days for online applications to be processed.
