Book vs. Movie Screening

Join the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library for an afternoon of film and discussion as we explore the age-old question: which is better, the book or the movie?
On Saturday May 23, 2026, enjoy a free screening of the Canadian comedy-drama film We’re All in This Together, based on the award-winning novel by Amy Jones.  We’re All in This Together follows the Parker family of Thunder Bay, whose already-complicated lives take a turn when matriarch Kate survives plummeting over a waterfall in a barrel – a feat that goes viral.  Doors open at 1 p.m.

After the movie, stay for a lively discussion comparing the novel with its screen adaptation.  Share your thoughts, hear different perspectives, and examine how stories evolve from page to screen.
